 تلقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اتصالاً هاتفياً من السيدة أورسولا فون ديرلاين، رئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية، حيث تركز الاتصال على التشاور بشأن التصعيد العسكري على الساحة الفلسطينية الإسرائيلية،  وتم استعراض الجهود المكثفة لاحتواء الموقف، في ضوء تزايد وتيرة العنف والعمليات العسكرية، حيث شدد السيد الرئيس في هذا السياق على أهمية تنسيق جهود الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية للحث على الوقف الفوري للتصعيد، باعتباره الأولوية في الوقت الراهن، حقناً لدماء المدنيين من الجانبين، وتجنيب الشعب الفلسطيني المزيد من المعاناة الإنسانية، وأهمية تسهيل وصول المساعدات الإنسانية.

وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن الاتصال تطرق كذلك إلى التعاون المشترك بين مصر والاتحاد الأوروبي، وسبل مواصلة تعزيزه وتطويره في مختلف الاتجاهات، في ضوء ما يربط الجانبان من علاقات وثيقة ومتميزة.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. The call focused on consultations regarding the military escalation between the Palestinians and Israelis. President El-Sisi and the president of the European Commission reviewed intensified efforts to contain the situation, in light of the increasing pace of violence and military operations.

The President stressed the importance of coordinating efforts of regional and international parties to urge an immediate halt to the escalation, as it is the priority at the present time to stop the bloodshed of civilians on both sides and to avert the Palestinian people further humanitarian suffering. This is in addition to the importance of facilitating the arrival of humanitarian aid.

The call also touched on cooperation between Egypt and the European Union, and ways to continue strengthening and developing it across various sectors, in light of the close and distinguished relations between the two sides.
